GC Light Rail Stage 3A in Motion

The route for Stage 3A of the Gold Coast Light Rail has been finalised from Broadbeach to Burleigh.

Major construction of the 6.7km extension will begin late next year with the first passengers riding by 2023!

The current line runs 20.3km from Helensvale to Broadbeach providing access to beaches, universities, hospitals, schools, major shopping and dining areas and the heavy rail.

Stage 3A will provide seamless connection to Mermaid Beach, Nobby Beach, Miami and Burleigh.

It is likely that the next stage will connect Burleigh to the Gold Coast Airport in Coolangatta.
